Josephine’s Coronation

I’m so proud of my latest one-of-a-kind ribbon choker necklace, Josephine’s Coronation.

This piece could easily fit into my “Confections” collection. I just can’t get enough of the crimson red and sky blue color combination since seeing Kirsten Dunst wearing this gorgeous outfit in the 2006 Marie Antoinette (Sofia Coppola) movie.

I’d describe this ribbon choker necklace as “couture jewelry” in that it’s a bit more fashion than jewelry. Probably due to my fashion design background, my “jewelry” is constructed more like a garment (for example – fully lined, button closure). The only “jewelry” portion comes from vintage jewelry findings (sky blue glass starburst) and some fire polished vitrail Czech glass beads.

Not for shrinking violets, this one is sure to get you noticed.
